Traditional Thai Yoga Massage
2th August to 13th August 2012
The course offers a PRACTICAL TRAINING on the Art of Traditional Thai Yoga Massage. We travel, day by day, from the feet to the head with daily demonstrations, theory and practice time. We provide our own instruction manual and CD of chantings from Asokananda "Meditations in Babylon". Our courses usually have many assistants, both Greek and from other countries, who bring colours and diversity to the practice, some of whom are fellow teachers of the Sunshine Network.
26th August to 2nd September 2012
According to the ancient teachings of Thai Yoga Massage, essentially practised
and taught by monks and nuns throughout SE Asia, it is said that the body consists
of 72,000 energy lines (or Sen).
During Thai Massage therapy these lines are stimulated in order to bring back
harmony and balance. There are 10 major energy lines which are used to unblock
stagnation, and this course will cover the therapeutic uses of each of them in
Northern style Thai Massage as taught by Asokananda.
Knowing the location of each of these lines, their properties and therapeutic
effects can bring depth and precision into our massage.
Vipassana meditation, yoga/qi gong are offered
in the morning, followed by swim at the sea and 6 hours of massage class.
Dhamma talks or steam baths in the evenings.
One day is free from teaching and dedicated to an excursion to a beautiful beach
on the Aegean Sea. To take part in this course, at least one beginners course
covering the foundations of Thai Yoga Massage must have been completed.

Traditional Thai Yoga Massage
25th to 30th September 2012
Osteo Thai is the integration of both osteopathic principles and techniques with Thai massage. It is a form of bodywork that combines the following: - Traditional Thai massage’s varied and powerful stretches, using long leverage techniques across muscle groups (inspired by yoga postures), and its acupressure work on energy lines. - Osteopathy’s release of tissue tension, precise and gentle touch, and work on structural and joint mobility.
